Hey friends, after much thought, I’ve decided to move forward in a different direction with my music podcast. First, why a podcast? To be transparent, during the past 18 months, I wasn’t sure if I would ever be able to do live shows in public. I know that may sound a little lame. But, for me to do shows in the local clubs etc, I’m literally a one person act which includes roadie duty. Likewise, not real sure if I have the stamina to do roadie and play for three to four hours. So, for me, working from home gave me the idea of a podcast. Now, as my health improves, I’m not ruling out live shows, but for the foreseeable future, a podcast seems like something I can handle.
Music Heals started as a project for me, which was to initially do some live shows at some of the local assisted living facilities in my area. That may still happen. I was going to make Music Heals the theme of my podcast. While I found Music Heals definitely was a great concept for live assisted living shows, for my podcast, I’ve had a change of heart. While I’ve found that music does heal in many different ways, and many people have a story to tell, including myself, I also discovered that some of these stories are difficult to tell and sometimes open painful wounds. So, while healing with music may be a topic of discussion on the podcast, I thought it might be a good idea to go with in a different direction as the focal point.
Perhaps something a bit more entertaining, and light spirited. My love of performing has always been about entertaining and sharing smiles. Essentially, letting the music do the healing.
So, I’m going to go down the road I know best. Since I started playing in front of people, one of my favorite things to do, is play rock classics on my acoustic guitar.
Hope you’ll join me on my new journey, ” James Daly’s Acoustic Rock Classics”.
I’m still a bit away from broadcasting, as I’m slowly replacing equipment I sold to help pay bills while I was sick.
For the first time in awhile, I’m looking forward to sharing some tunes and smiles with my friends. Hoping to broadcast live on YouTube and Twitch, so please consider following the links to subscribe to my channels. You can find links on my Facebook page, where I may broadcast also.
